    Who's Ready to Shine?

This was my very first major edit at the USL, and it turned out to be an incredibly rewarding experience. I had a great deal of fun pulling together a diverse range of assets from across the entire USL Championship, carefully weaving them together into a compelling narrative. All of this was perfectly complemented by the brilliant narration crafted by David Wright and brought to life by the legendary voice of Mike Watts.

    It's Time to Shine

This was an especially fun piece to create as part of our season-long campaign titled “Ready to Shine” at the USL Championship, as we eagerly prepared for the upcoming playoffs. Just like the season hype video, the video interweaves dynamic shots from all of the playoff teams, brought to life by the equally brilliant narration thoughtfully written by David Wright and delivered by the talented voices of Mike Watts and Devon Kerr.

United Soccer League and CBS Sports

The USL secured a significant deal partnering with CBS Sports, marking an important and historic milestone for the league’s growth and visibility. It was truly an honor and privilege to contribute by creating a short, yet engaging and fun video that helped celebrate and highlight this exciting and momentous achievement.

One for All | USL League One

USL League One is actually one of eight distinct leagues operating under the broader USL umbrella, specifically positioned as a Division 3 men’s professional league. The intention behind this video was to create a unique and separate identity, distinct from the Championship’s “Ready to Shine” video. It was designed to be energetic and fast-paced, reflecting the dynamic style of play within the league, and I believe I successfully managed to capture that vibrant spirit and intensity.

Who Let the Dogs Out 📣

The Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup is truly one of my favorite tournaments to watch because, quite simply, literally anything can happen on the pitch. In this particular edition, my former club and hometown team, Pittsburgh Riverhounds SC, managed to pull off not just one, but two remarkable “cupsets” against MLS teams, showcasing their resilience and skill. They were also only one of two USL teams remaining in the competition at that stage, which made their journey all the more impressive. The tournament can be an unpredictable and thrilling adventure, filled with unexpected rewards along the way, and this video absolutely captures the magic and excitement of their remarkable run.

    They're Coming ⚠️

Just like the Riverhounds, Birmingham Legion FC managed to fight their way through a challenging uphill battle to pull off an impressive and unexpected “cupset” against Charlotte FC on their home turf, in front of their passionate fans. I actually had the chance to meet and work alongside Tyler Pasher, who appears prominently in this video, back when we were both based in Pittsburgh. It was truly rewarding to see a former friend and colleague perform so brilliantly and make such a significant impact in this match.

Fortified in the Soccer Experience: Steel Army

When I was hired to work at the USL, the main point relayed to me was to create more original and compelling narrative pieces that captured the essence of the league. From that clear directive, I took the initiative to lead the charge in producing several episodes of “The Experience,” a series focused on the unique fan experience and vibrant supporter culture within the USL. To kick off the series, I chose to highlight my hometown club and the passionate Steel Army supporters group. It was incredibly rewarding to return to the place where I spent nearly four full seasons of my career and share their story with the world.

Support Comes In Threes | San Antonio, TX

I had never been to San Antonio before creating this episode of “The Experience,” but I left the city truly enchanted by the warmth of the people and the vibrant energy of the club. The entire visit was incredibly fun and filled with genuinely welcoming individuals who made the experience unforgettable.

    Fidel Barajas: Familia y Fútbol

As part of the USL’s celebration of Hispanic-Latine Heritage Month, I was tasked with putting together this interview of then-teenage phenom Fidel Barajas of the Charleston Battery. It was a new process for me, working with translations and subtitles, and I enjoyed learning the technical and creative challenges that came with it. Fidel himself was gracious and down-to-earth — a genuinely kind and humble young man who made the shoot easy and rewarding.

What A Bike! | USL Championship Goal of the Week Winner - Week 1

Goal of the Week was one of several recurring content pieces that my team and I were consistently tasked with producing on a week-to-week basis across multiple leagues. We utilized footage not only from the primary game feed but also incorporated additional bonus angles to provide a comprehensive and dynamic look at the standout goal from that week. These highlights were produced in the traditional 16×9 format, as well as optimized 9×16 and 4×5 formats specifically tailored for social media platforms, ensuring that each version was carefully crafted to suit the unique dimensions and viewing experiences of different formats.

Teamwork: On the Pitch and In the Skies

One of the most rewarding aspects of my career is getting to witness moments most people never see. That was especially true when I was invited to the Air Force Academy to film a player from the Colorado Springs Switchbacks USL club flying in a glider with cadets for a collaborative piece about teamwork in both soccer and the military. The whole day was incredible and eye-opening — from the quiet, focused intensity of the hangar to the graceful, almost reverent silence of the glider cutting through the sky — and despite a few technical hiccups we still managed to capture a compelling, honest interview.

Developing All Parts of the Game | Referee Development

Growing up, I loved an NBC documentary called Behind the Whistle, which pulled back the curtain on the Premier League and revealed what it really meant to be a Premier League referee. So when, on my very first day at the USL, I was handed footage and asked to create a similar behind-the-whistle style piece for our referee development program within the Academy system, it felt like a small-circle moment. Producing that project was genuinely fun and rewarding, even as I was still finding my footing at USL headquarters and acclimating to the pace and expectations of the role.
